Greetings from Italy. I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, but trying to combine writing thesis, finding an internship, and living my new party life took up all my time. Too much has happened to explain in one post, so I’ll try to do a podcast when Sjue comes to Tuscany. There are a few things that I want to share with you; first of all, after a few tries I finally finished my thesis with a 6, and considering what a struggle it had been, I am super happy and grateful. I have found an internship at Magnet.Me. This kind of just happened naturally, and I think it’s a great opportunity. After all of this, I could go on vacation feeling very satisfied. I was very much in need of vacation since my mojo had gotten the best of me lately, and completely out of character, I had been partying every weekend and constantly being out of the house.
Just like every holiday, we started with a road trip. This time with the destination Tuscany, Italy. I really wanted to make a stop in Milan and luckily everyone agreed. Since my exchange in Milan did not happen (long story) I still hadn’t been there and I was just so curious if it would be like I had made it out to be in my mind. I found the best, affordable, hotel that turned out to be really great. We spend the whole afternoon and evening walking in Milan. We saw the Duomo, visited some shops and ended the evening eating dinner at the canals. I completely fell in love with this city. Even though I feel like I could have had an amazing time here, I also feel like I made the right decision not going when I was supposed to. I don’t rule out that one day I will still live here and be really really happy, but for now, we’re on to the next destination.
